SMS / Text Message Policy

When you provide your mobile number during sign-up and opt in, you consent to receive one-time verification (2FA) codes by text from myScout to verify and secure your account. These are account-security messages only. We do not send marketing or promotional texts through this program.

Information Collection: We collect your mobile number only when you voluntarily provide it and opt in during sign-up.
Use of Information: Your number is used solely to send account-verification codes. We do not sell or share your phone number or mobile opt-in data with third parties or lead generators.
Message Frequency: Varies based on your verification activity (typically one message per request).
Opt-Out: Reply STOP at any time to stop verification texts. Reply HELP for help, or email GameOn@myScout.ai.
Rates: Message and data rates may apply.
Data Security: We take reasonable precautions to protect your information.

Google user data (Gmail and Google Calendar)

When you connect your Google account, myScout asks for permission to send email on your behalf, to read email, and, if you turn on calendar features, to read and create events on your own calendars.

What we access and why

Sending. We send email from your Gmail account only for messages and sequences you create or approve inside myScout.
Reading replies. We read replies to the outreach you sent through myScout so we can pause a sequence when someone answers and show you the reply. The text of those replies is saved in your myScout account.
Learning your writing voice. We read short excerpts of emails you have sent, up to 500 characters each, and use them to build a profile of how you write, so the drafts myScout creates sound like you. We read your Sent mail only for this.
Relationship history. To show you who you have been in touch with, we read the sender, recipient, and date of messages in your inbox and sent mail. For this feature we do not read message bodies or subjects.

Google Calendar

If you choose to turn on calendar features, we ask for permission to read and create events on your own calendars. We read your events to show your meetings and map them into your relationship history, and we create events only when you ask us to book a meeting. We do not access other people's calendars.

Who sees it

Email excerpts used for voice learning are sent to Anthropic, our AI service provider, through its commercial API, only to build your voice profile and to write drafts for you. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, content sent through the API is not used to train its models by default.
We do not use Google user data to train AI or machine learning models that serve other customers. Your voice profile is used for your account only.
We do not sell Google user data. We do not use it for advertising.
Our team does not read your email content unless you ask us to, it is needed for security, or the law requires it.

Limited Use

myScout's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Storage and security

Voice excerpts, learned writing rules, and saved replies are stored in your myScout account in a managed database that encrypts data at rest and in transit, with access limited to your account.

Your control and deletion

You can see and delete what myScout has learned about your voice inside the app.
You can disconnect Google at any time. You can also remove myScout's access from your Google account at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions
After you disconnect Google, we delete your saved email excerpts and replies within 30 days.
If you delete your myScout account, your voice profile, excerpts, and saved replies are deleted with it.
